๐Ÿง€ Perfect for family dinners, this dish combines rich flavors and simple ingredients for a satisfying pasta bake.

  • Total Time: 50 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings

Ingredients

– 1/2 pound lean ground beef seasoned with salt and pepper

– 1/4 cup chopped yellow onion

– 1 clove minced garlic

– 1 jar (24 ounces) spaghetti sauce

– 6 ounces chive and onion cream cheese divided

– 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning

– 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese divided

– 1/2 pound cooked penne pasta (8 ounces)

Instructions

1-First, preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and prepare all ingredients as needed.

2-In a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat, cook the 1/2 pound lean ground beef, 1/4 cup chopped yellow onion, and 1 clove minced garlic until the beef is no longer pink. Drain any grease to keep things light.

3-Stir in the 1 jar (24 ounces) spaghetti sauce, 4 ounces of the 6 ounces chive and onion cream cheese, 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning, and half of the 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese. Cook and stir until the cheese melts, about 5 minutes, creating that dreamy creamy cheese sauce.

4-Gently mix in the 1/2 pound cooked penne pasta (8 ounces), then pour the mixture into a greased 8ร—8-inch baking dish.

5-Dot the remaining cream cheese evenly over the top and sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella cheese.

6-Bake uncovered for 20 minutes or until hot and bubbly. Let it stand for 10 minutes before serving to lock in those flavors.
