๐Ÿ‡ This Homemade Balsamic Glaze recipe offers a rich, tangy-sweet condiment made from simple ingredients.
๐Ÿฅ„ Easy to prepare with just balsamic vinegar and brown sugar, it’s perfect for enhancing salads, meats, and more.

  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: Approximately 3/4 cup

Ingredients

– 1 cup balsamic vinegar This forms the base, giving the glaze its rich, tangy taste

– 1/4 cup brown sugar This adds sweetness to balance the acidity

– A pinch of salt This enhances the overall taste and brings out the flavors more

– 1 tablespoon melted butter Optional, adds richness for smoother finish

Instructions

1-Start by combining the balsamic vinegar and brown sugar in a small saucepot, stirring until the sugar dissolves fully. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, then lower it to medium-low and keep stirring often as it reduces by half, usually taking around 10 minutes.

2-Once it's off the heat, let it cool to thicken even more, and adjust as needed by simmering longer if it's too thin or adding a bit of water if it's too thick. For storage, pop any leftovers in the fridge where they'll last up to three weeks.

Notes

๐ŸงŠ Use a small, heavy-bottomed stainless steel or light-colored pot for better control.
๐Ÿ”ฅ Simmer on the lowest heat that maintains a gentle simmer to avoid burning and stir often.
โฐ Remove from heat just before desired thickness as glaze thickens more upon cooling.
