Ingredients
1 and 1/2 cups (180g) graham cracker crumbs (from about 12 full sheet graham crackers)
1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar
6 tablespoons (85g) unsalted butter melted
1 and 1/4 cups dulce de leche (can be homemade or store-bought)
2 large bananas sliced
2 cups (480ml) cold heavy cream or heavy whipping cream
1/4 cup confectionersโ sugar or granulated sugar
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Chocolate shavings for garnish
chopped nuts for garnish
toffee bits for garnish
Instructions
1-Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (177ยฐC).
2-Prepare the crust by grinding graham crackers into fine crumbs and mixing with granulated sugar and melted butter until the mixture is sandy and thick. Press it into the bottom and up the sides of an ungreased pie dish, patting down gently to form a compact crust without overpacking.
3-Bake the crust for 15 minutes, then cool for 15 minutes.
4-Whip the heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract using a mixer on medium-high speed until medium peaks form, about 3-4 minutes.
5-Spread the dulce de leche evenly over the cooled crust. Layer banana slices in one or two layers on top. Spread the whipped cream over the bananas.
6-Refrigerate the pie uncovered for at least 2 hours or up to 1 day. Add optional toppings before serving.
7-Store leftover pie covered in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
