🍀 Crispy Grilled Shrimp with Tangy Lemon Butter Sauce offers a quick and delicious protein-packed meal that’s bursting with bright, zesty flavors.
πŸ‹ This recipe combines crispy grilled shrimp with a rich, garlicky lemon butter sauce for an irresistible dish perfect for any occasion.

  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

– 90g unsalted butter (6 tablespoons)

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

– 3 teaspoons garlic, very finely chopped

– 1.5 tablespoons lemon juice, plus more to taste

– 500g (1 lb) large raw shrimp or prawns, peeled and deveined

– 1 teaspoon garlic powder

– 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

– 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

– 1 tablespoon lemon juice (omit if cooking on stove)

– 2 tablespoons olive oil

– 1/2 teaspoon salt

– 1/4 teaspoon pepper

– 1 lemon, halved and grilled if desired

– Lemon wedges or slices

– 2 tablespoons finely chopped parsley

Instructions

1-Melt the butter: Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium-high heat, then add the garlic and salt. Cook until the garlic turns light golden, about a minute, and quickly pull it off the heat before stirring in the lemon juice for that zesty kick.

2-Pat the shrimp dry: Pat the shrimp dry and gently toss them with garlic powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, lemon juice (if you’re grilling), olive oil, salt, and pepper. Do this just before cooking to avoid any moisture loss that could make them tough.

3-Grill the shrimp: Grill the shrimp for 2 minutes on each side until they’re golden and crispy, then take them off right away to keep that perfect texture. Don’t let them sit too long!

4-Drizzle the cooked shrimp: Drizzle the cooked shrimp with the lemon garlic butter sauce and sprinkle on some chopped parsley for a fresh finish.

5-Serve it up: Serve it up immediately with grilled lemon halves or wedges and maybe some crusty bread to soak up all that yummy sauce.

🍀 Do not marinate shrimp ahead to prevent moisture loss and retain crispiness.
πŸ”₯ Avoid overcooking shrimp to maintain a tender texture.
πŸ§„ Finely chop garlic instead of mincing for crispy garlic bits in the sauce.
