πŸ₯« Enjoy rich and creamy bean dip that’s perfect for quick, flavorful snacks.
πŸ§€ This dip combines refried beans, cheeses, and spices for a warm, satisfying appetizer that’s crowd-pleasing and easy to prepare.

  • Total Time: 1 hour 10 minutes
  • Yield: About 18 servings

Ingredients

– 1 (16 ounce) can refried beans

– 1 cup chunky salsa or picante sauce

– 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese (4 ounces)

– 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese (4 ounces)

– 3/4 cup sour cream

– 1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese

– 1 tablespoon chili powder

– 1/4 teaspoon cumin (or more to taste)

– Salt and pepper to taste

– Optional garnishes: green onions, tomatoes, black olives, cilantro, green chiles, lime juice

Instructions

1-First, in a bowl, combine the refried beans, salsa, both shredded cheeses, sour cream, cream cheese, chili powder, and cumin. Mix everything well until it’s smooth and even. This step brings all the tastes together nicely.

2-Then, transfer the mixture to a small slow cooker, about 1-1/2 quart size. Cover it and cook on high for about 2 hours, stirring occasionally to ensure it heats through evenly.

3-After it’s done, serve it warm with tortilla chips or crackers for a great crunch. If you prefer other methods, try baking it in the oven at 350Β°F (175Β°C) for 20-30 minutes until it’s hot and bubbly. Or, for a quick option, heat it in a microwave-safe bowl for 5-8 minutes, stirring every couple of minutes until the cheese melts and the mixture is smooth.
