Instructions

1-Prepare all ingredients by shredding the smoked brisket and grating the cheeses ahead of time.

2-Cook the macaroni in salted boiling water for about 7-8 minutes until al dente, then drain it.

3-In a saucepan, melt ยฝ cup plus 1 tablespoon of salted butter over medium heat and stir in ยฝ cup all-purpose flour to make a roux.

4-Gradually whisk in milk and cream, cooking until the mixture thickens.

5-Add cheeses and season, stirring until smooth, then season with 1 teaspoon salt, ยฝ teaspoon black pepper, and 4 garlic cloves.

6-Mix the cooked macaroni and brisket into the sauce.

7-Layer the mixture in a greased dish, add extra cheese, and top with ยฝ cup panko crumbs.

8-Bake at 325ยฐF for 15-20 minutes until bubbly and the top is crispy.
