๐Ÿฝ๏ธ This Chicken and Pork Katleti recipe offers tender, flavorful traditional Russian meat patties perfect for any meal.
๐Ÿ”ฅ Combining ground chicken and pork creates juicy patties with a delicious, well-balanced taste.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 12-16 patties

Ingredients

– 1 lb ground pork

– 1 lb ground chicken

– 1 egg

– 1 tablespoon mayonnaise

– 1 medium onion, grated or very finely diced

– 1/2 teaspoon salt

– 1/4 teaspoon pepper

– 1 tablespoon water (optional, if the meat mixture feels too dry)

– 1/2 cup breadcrumbs for mixing into the meat

– 1 1/2 cups breadcrumbs for coating the patties

Instructions

1-First, cut the chicken and pork into strips and grind them using a meat grinder with a medium or large disk. In a bowl, combine the ground meats, egg, mayonnaise, onion, salt, pepper, and 1/2 cup breadcrumbs.

2-If the mixture feels too dry, add 1 tablespoon water to moisten it. Next, shape the mixture into 1-inch balls, then slightly flatten them into patties and roll each one in the remaining 1 1/2 cups breadcrumbs.

3-Heat about 1/4 cup of a neutral oil in a large skillet over medium heat, making sure it covers the bottom of the pan. Cook the patties in batches, turning them a few times until golden brown and cooked through, about 10 minutes total. Add more oil as needed between batches.
