Ingredients
– 25 oz. frozen ravioli (5-cheese variety recommended), do not thaw
– 1 lb. ground beef or mild sausage
– 1 cup diced white onion
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1/4 teaspoon pepper
– 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1/2 teaspoon dried leaf oregano (not ground)
– 24 oz. marinara sauce
– 8 oz. shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
1-First, brown the ground beef and diced onion in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat until the meat is fully cooked. Season it with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and oregano while itβs cooking to lock in those flavors. Keep 2 to 3 tablespoons of the liquid from the meat to add moisture to the dish, then set it aside.
2-Next, spray the inside of your slow cooker with non-stick spray to prevent sticking. Pour half of the marinara sauce into the bottom for a solid base. Add half of the frozen ravioli over the sauce, followed by the cooked meat mixture on top.
3-Then, layer the remaining ravioli over the meat and pour the rest of the marinara sauce on top. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly to finish it off. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours, letting the ingredients meld into a perfect, bubbly casserole.
