  • Total Time: 1 hour 3 minutes
  • Yield: 18 buns 1x

Ingredients

Scale

1.36 kg (3 pounds) thawed frozen bread dough divided into 18 pieces

2.27 kg (5 pounds) ground beef

1 large head chopped cabbage

Two finely chopped onions or one large onion

2 tablespoons fresh minced garlic

1/4 cup (60 ml) water or beef broth

1/2 to 1 cup (about 50 to 100 grams) grated Parmesan cheese

2 teaspoons seasoned salt to taste

2 teaspoons white pepper to taste

Melted butter for brushing after baking

Instructions

1-Getting started with this recipe is fun and straightforward, perfect for home cooks of any level. Begin by cooking the ground beef over medium heat until it’s no longer pink, then drain the fat to keep things light.

2-Next, add the water or broth, chopped cabbage, onions, and garlic; reduce the heat to medium-low and stir occasionally until the cabbage softens.

3-Once the mixture is ready, drain off all the liquid thoroughly to avoid sogginess this step is crucial for tasty results. Mix in the Parmesan cheese, seasoned salt, and white pepper to taste, then set the filling aside.

4-Now, roll each piece of the thawed dough into about 5-inch squares on a floured surface.

5-Place around 3/4 cup of filling in the center of each square, fold the dough over, and seal the edges well. Put the buns seam-side down on a greased baking sheet and bake at 190Β°C (375Β°F) for 15-18 minutes until they’re golden brown. After baking, brush with melted butter and serve hot or warm these steps take about 45 minutes total for a rewarding meal.
