Instructions

2-In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef or your chosen protein until browned and cooked through; for vegan options, sautΓ© plant-based crumbles until heated.

3-Add onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until translucent and fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.

4-Stir in gochujang paste, tomato sauce or ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, mustard, brown sugar, chili powder, salt, pepper, and hot sauce; mix thoroughly with the protein.

5-Reduce heat to low and simmer the mixture for 5-7 minutes to thicken the sauce and let flavors meld.

6-Toast hamburger buns or alternatives for added texture, then spoon the mixture onto them and serve right away.
