Instructions

1-First, peel and thinly slice 6 medium potatoes, then set them aside.

2-In a skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of butter or cooking oil over medium heat. Add 1 diced onion and 2 minced garlic cloves, cooking until they soften.

3-Add 1 pound of ground beef to the skillet, seasoning it with 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon bouillon powder if using, 1 teaspoon ground black pepper, 1 teaspoon paprika, and 1 teaspoon oregano. Cook until the beef is browned.

4-Stir in 2 tablespoons of flour to thicken, then pour in 1 cup of beef broth and Β½ cup of milk, mixing until smooth.

5-In a baking dish, layer the sliced potatoes and the beef mixture. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.

6-Uncover, sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese on top, and bake for another 10-15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
