๐ŸŒบ Refresh your senses with this Hibiscus Apple Cider, blending floral hibiscus with sweet apple and citrus notes.
๐ŸŽ Perfect for cozy gatherings or a relaxing evening, this warm drink offers a delightful balance of flavors that comfort and invigorate.

  • Total Time: 1 hour
  • Yield: 10 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

1/2 cup dried hibiscus flowers for a vibrant tartness and color

7 cups apple juice as the base liquid providing natural sweetness and depth

1 cinnamon stick to infuse warm spice notes

3 cloves for enhancing aromatic complexity

1/3 cup fresh lemon juice adding a bright citrus zing

1/3 cup fresh orange juice for extra citrus brightness and zest

Instructions

1-First, collect all ingredients and prepare your workspace, including measuring out the 1/2 cup dried hibiscus flowers, 7 cups apple juice, 1 cinnamon stick, 3 cloves, 1/3 cup fresh lemon juice, and 1/3 cup fresh orange juice.

2-In a large pot, combine the apple juice, dried hibiscus flowers, cinnamon stick, cloves, lemon juice, and orange juice; bring to a gentle simmer over medium-low heat, covered, for 30 minutes.

3-After the initial simmer, remove the cover and continue simmering on low heat for another 30 minutes to fully blend the flavors and release the wonderful aroma.

4-Once done, strain the mixture through a fine sieve to remove the hibiscus flowers and spices, then transfer to a serving pot for immediate enjoyment.

5-Finally, serve the cider hot in mugs, optionally adding a splash of alcohol for an extra kick, though it’s just as delightful without.
