๐Ÿ– Enjoy tender, flavorful pork ribs made quickly and easily with the Instant Pot for a convenient meal solution.
โฑ๏ธ This Instant Pot Ribs recipe delivers fall-off-the-bone texture in under an hour, perfect for busy days or gatherings.

  • Total Time: 1 hour
  • Yield: 4-6 servings

Ingredients

– 1 to 2 racks pork ribs (baby back or spare ribs)

– 1 teaspoon salt

– 1 teaspoon black pepper

– 1 teaspoon garlic powder

– 1 teaspoon paprika

– 1 teaspoon onion powder

– 1 teaspoon chili powder

– 1 cup water

– 1/2 cup apple juice or 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

– 1 teaspoon liquid smoke (optional)

– 1 cup barbecue sauce (homemade or store-bought)

Instructions

First, flip the ribs meat side down and remove the membrane by sliding a knife under it and pulling it off for better seasonings. Next, mix the dry spices salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, and chili powder and rub them all over the ribs. This seasoning step boosts the flavor right from the start.

1- Place a wire trivet at the bottom of the Instant Pot.

2- Pour in 1 cup water, 1/2 cup apple juice or 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar, and 1 teaspoon liquid smoke if you like.

3- Curl the ribs inside the pot with the meat side out or stand them upright.

4- Secure the lid, close the vent, and cook on high pressure for 25 minutes for baby back ribs or 30 to 35 minutes for spare ribs.

5- Let the pressure release naturally for 15 minutes, then quickly release the rest.

6- Take the ribs out to a foil-lined sheet and cover them with 1 cup barbecue sauce.

7- Broil for 2 to 3 minutes to caramelize the sauce, if desired.
