Instructions

2-Preheat and prep pan: Heat oven to 350Β°F with rack in middle. Grate 8 ounces smoked gouda. Butter a 9- to 10-inch pie plate with 2 teaspoons soft butter.
3-Rinse zucchini: Rinse salted zucchini under running water, squeeze out liquid thoroughly.
4-Mix zucchini herbs: Combine zucchini with Β½ teaspoon dried dill and 2 tablespoons snipped chives in a bowl.
5-Beat egg mixture: In another bowl, beat 6 eggs, 1 cup heavy cream, ΒΌ teaspoon salt, and ΒΌ teaspoon white pepper until frothy.
6-Layer ingredients: Layer ΒΌ cheese in plate, then β zucchini mix. Repeat, end with cheese.
7-Add eggs and bake: Pour egg mix slowly over layers. Bake 40-50 minutes until browned and center slightly soft.
8-Cool and serve: Cool to room temp. Serve warm with green salad.
