Ingredients

– 2 to 3 boneless skinless chicken breasts diced into bite-sized pieces

– 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning for seasoning the chicken

– 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder for seasoning the chicken

– Salt to taste for seasoning the chicken

– Pepper to taste for seasoning the chicken

– 1 medium yellow onion minced

– 3 cloves garlic minced

– 16 ounces (about 450 grams) dried short-cut pasta such as rigatoni

– 24 ounces (approximately 680 ml) marinara sauce

– Water added to the empty marinara sauce jar and poured into the pot to aid cooking

– 1 cup mozzarella cheese

– 1/2 cup parmesan cheese

– 3/4 cup mozzarella cheese reserved for topping

– Fresh parsley or basil minced for garnish

– Additional dried Italian seasoning optional for extra flavor

– Olive oil for cooking

Instructions

1-Prepare ingredients: Slice chicken into bite-sized pieces and measure everything out.

2-Heat oil and cook chicken: Heat oil and cook chicken until nearly done, about 5 minutes.
