Ingredients

– 2 tablespoons butter, softened

– 4 slices whole-grain bread

– 4 tablespoons pesto

– 4 slices Havarti cheese or 4 ounces grated

– 2/3 cup sliced artichoke hearts from a jar or can, drained

– Sea salt for sprinkling on the sandwich

Instructions

1-Butter the outsides of the 4 slices of whole-grain bread to create that golden, crispy exterior.

2-Spread 4 tablespoons of pesto evenly on the inside surfaces of the bread slices for flavorful layers.

3-Place a slice of Havarti cheese on the bottom piece of bread, add 2/3 cup of sliced artichoke hearts on top, and cover with another slice of Havarti cheese.

4-Put the other slice of bread on top to form a sandwich, ensuring everything is neatly stacked.

5-Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-low heat and cook the sandwich butter side down for 4 to 5 minutes until the bread is golden and the cheese begins to melt.

6-Flip the sandwich and cook the other side for 3 to 4 minutes until the cheese is fully melted and the bread is crisp.

7-Remove from heat, sprinkle with sea salt, cut in half, and serve immediately for the best taste and texture.
