– 1/2 teaspoon salt

– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

– 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

– 4-ounce can diced green chilies

– 15-ounce can kidney beans (rinsed and drained)

– 15-ounce can black beans (rinsed and drained)

– 17-ounce can drained corn

– 2 cups chicken broth

Instructions

1-First, brown the 1 pound of ground beef or ground turkey in a large pot over medium heat until it’s fully cooked, which takes about 5-7 minutes; stir occasionally to break it up.

2-Once browned, add the 4 cloves of minced garlic and the spice blend including 2 teaspoons chili powder, 1 teaspoon ground cumin, 1 teaspoon dried oregano, 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, and 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes and stir well for about a minute to release those aromas.

3-Next, mix in the 28-ounce can of undrained crushed tomatoes, 4-ounce can of diced green chilies, 15-ounce can of kidney beans (rinsed and drained), 15-ounce can of black beans (rinsed and drained), 17-ounce can of drained corn, and 2 cups of chicken broth.

4-Bring the mixture to a low boil, then reduce the heat, cover the pot, and let it simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally to blend the flavors.

5-Finally, serve it hot with optional toppings like tortilla chips, sour cream, shredded cheese, chopped green onions, chopped avocado, hot sauce, or fresh cilantro to add your own touch.
