Ingredients

– 9 medium tomatillos

– 1 small yellow or white onion, cut into large chunks

– 1 to 2 serrano or jalapeΓ±o peppers, depending on spice preference

– 4 unpeeled garlic cloves

– 2 tablespoons avocado oil, plus extra for drizzling

– 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice

– 1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro

– 1 1/4 teaspoons sea salt

– Additional salt for sprinkling

Instructions

1-Transfer the roasted tomatillos, onion, peppers, and garlic to a food processor.

2-Add 2 tablespoons of avocado oil, 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice, 1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro, and 1 1/4 teaspoons sea salt.

3-Process until smooth, adding water by the tablespoon if the mixture is too thick.

4-Taste and adjust seasoning as needed for your preferred flavor.
